Ingredients

- 500g of shrimp (fresh or frozen)
- 4 cups of water
- 2 ripe tomatoes
- 1 onion
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 2 fresh chiles
- A handful of cilantro
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Juice of 1 lime
Instructions
- In a large pot, boil water and add shrimp. Cook for a few minutes until pink.
- In a blender, mix tomatoes, onion, garlic, and chiles until smooth.
- Add the mixture to the pot with the shrimp broth.
- Incorporate cilantro, salt, and pepper to taste. Simmer for 15 minutes.
- Serve hot with a squeeze of lime juice.
Notes
Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Avoid overcooking the shrimp to maintain their tenderness.
