Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb white fish
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Cut the fish into medium-sized irregular pieces.
- In a bag, add the flour and the fish pieces. Seal the bag.
- Shake the bag to coat the fish well with flour.
- Remove excess flour from each piece.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, add enough oil to cover the bottom.
- Add the fish. Let it brown on one side before flipping.
- Fry until golden and crispy, which takes a few minutes.
- Remove and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- Immediately add salt and pepper for better adherence.
- Serve as a side dish or appetizer with your favorite sauce and lime wedges.
Notes
Avoid using too little oil; it will result in soggy chicharrones. Adjust seasoning immediately after frying.
