Description

A simple and delightful creamy pepper sauce that’s perfect for enhancing any meal.


Ingredients

  • 200 ml cooking cream (nata para cocinar)
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • Salt to taste
  • A pinch of nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat until it’s liquid, but do not allow it to brown.
  2. Sprinkle the flour in slowly while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  3. Gradually pour in the cooking cream while mixing nonstop.
  4. Add the ground black pepper and mix well.
  5. Taste and season with salt, adding nutmeg if desired.
  6. Turn the heat down low and let it simmer for three more minutes.
  7. Serve the sauce over your favorite dish.

Notes

This sauce can be served over pasta, chicken, fish, or veggies. Experiment with different spices for added flavor.
