Ingredients

- 200 ml cooking cream (nata para cocinar)
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon flour
- Salt to taste
- A pinch of nutmeg (optional)
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat until it’s liquid, but do not allow it to brown.
- Sprinkle the flour in slowly while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
- Gradually pour in the cooking cream while mixing nonstop.
- Add the ground black pepper and mix well.
- Taste and season with salt, adding nutmeg if desired.
- Turn the heat down low and let it simmer for three more minutes.
- Serve the sauce over your favorite dish.
Notes
This sauce can be served over pasta, chicken, fish, or veggies. Experiment with different spices for added flavor.
