Description

Delicious Japanese pancakes filled with your favorite sweet filling, perfect for dessert any time.


Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 140 g sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 160 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • Sunflower oil
  • Your favorite filling (anko, Nutella, whipped cream, etc.)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk the eggs with sugar and honey until fluffy.
  2. Sift the flour and baking powder over the mixture and continue whisking until well combined.
  3. Reserve the mixture in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes.
  4. After this time, whisk the batter again, adding 1 or 2 tablespoons of water if too thick.
  5. Heat a pan over low heat for several minutes to ensure even temperature.
  6. Add a little sunflower oil to the pan and use a paper towel to remove excess, leaving almost an invisible layer.
  7. Add 2 tablespoons of batter to the hot pan and cook until bubbles appear on the surface, about 90 seconds.
  8. Carefully flip the dorayaki and cook for another 30 seconds.
  9. Remove the dorayaki from heat and place it on a plate covered with a slightly damp cloth.
  10. Fill the dorayaki with your favorite filling and enjoy!

Notes

For a delicious experience, serve with green tea. Store in an airtight container for 2-3 days at room temperature or up to a week in the fridge.
