- 4 large eggs
- 140 g sugar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 160 g all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoons water
- Sunflower oil
- Your favorite filling (anko, Nutella, whipped cream, etc.)
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs with sugar and honey until fluffy.
- Sift the flour and baking powder over the mixture and continue whisking until well combined.
- Reserve the mixture in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes.
- After this time, whisk the batter again, adding 1 or 2 tablespoons of water if too thick.
- Heat a pan over low heat for several minutes to ensure even temperature.
- Add a little sunflower oil to the pan and use a paper towel to remove excess, leaving almost an invisible layer.
- Add 2 tablespoons of batter to the hot pan and cook until bubbles appear on the surface, about 90 seconds.
- Carefully flip the dorayaki and cook for another 30 seconds.
- Remove the dorayaki from heat and place it on a plate covered with a slightly damp cloth.
- Fill the dorayaki with your favorite filling and enjoy!
Notes
For a delicious experience, serve with green tea. Store in an airtight container for 2-3 days at room temperature or up to a week in the fridge.
