Description

An easy and flavorful recipe for marinated tomatoes that will impress your friends and delight your taste buds.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2500 g ripe tomatoes
  • 67 garlic cloves
  • 1 bunch of fresh cilantro
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • 400450 g onions
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2.5 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon neutral oil
  • 25 ml vinegar (9%) per jar

Instructions

  1. Place a garlic clove at the bottom of each sterilized jar.
  2. Add fresh herb leaves and a few peppercorns.
  3. Alternate layers of sliced tomatoes and onion rings, sprinkling more herbs and spices in between.
  4. Finish off each jar with a final layer of onions and herbs.
  5. Pour boiling water over the tomatoes, covering them completely, and let them steep for about 15 minutes.
  6. Strain the liquid, then bring the sugar, salt, and oil to a boil.
  7. Pour the marinade back over the tomatoes and soak them.
  8. Seal the jars tightly and flip them upside down to create a vacuum.
  9. Allow marinated tomatoes to work their magic as you relax!
