A quick and easy homemade salsa that brings maximum flavor for any taco night or snack session.
Ingredients

- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 120 ml water
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar (optional)
Instructions
- Heat a dry skillet over medium heat. Add the pimientos de árbol and toast for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Add vegetable oil, Roma tomatoes, garlic, and onion to the skillet. Roast for 4 to 5 minutes until slightly charred and soft.
- Transfer everything to a blender, add the toasted peppers, salt, water, and optional vinegar. Blend until smooth.
- Pour the salsa back into the skillet and let it simmer on low heat for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally and adjusting salt to taste.
Notes
For mild salsa, reduce or omit the pimientos de árbol. Let the salsa simmer to enhance flavor.
