- 300 g fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 200 ml cooking cream
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- A pinch of nutmeg (optional)
Instructions
- Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth and slice them thinly.
- Finely chop the onion and garlic.
- Heat the olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat.
- Sauté the onion and garlic until golden and soft, about 3 to 4 minutes.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring regularly.
- Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg, mixing well.
- Pour in the cooking cream and let it simmer gently for about 5 minutes until thickened.
Notes
This sauce pairs well with pasta, chicken, and can even enhance leftover pizza. Adjust seasoning to taste.
