Description

Delicious baked orecchiette pasta with savory sausage, mushrooms, and cheese.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 400 g orecchiette
  • 200 g mixed mushrooms
  • 200 g sausage
  • 1 onion
  • 400 g peeled tomatoes
  • 200 g mozzarella
  • 50 g grated parmesan
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook the orecchiette in salted water until al dente.
  2. In a skillet, heat the olive oil and sauté the finely chopped onion.
  3. Add the sausage and brown it.
  4. Stir in the mushrooms and cook until tender.
  5. Add the crushed peeled tomatoes and cook for about 10 minutes.
  6. Drain the orecchiette and mix them with the sauce.
  7. Add the mozzarella and stir well.
  8. Transfer everything to a baking dish, sprinkle with parmesan, and bake at 180°C (356°F) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Serve with fresh parsley.

Notes

Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days. For longer storage, freeze in individual portions for up to 2 months.
