Description
A creamy and tangy chicken dish with a kick, perfect for impressing guests with minimal effort.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 250 ml low-sodium chicken broth
- 250 ml heavy cream
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (approximately 700 g)
- 1 cup sliced pepperoncinis
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare your kitchen: Measure and arrange all ingredients within reach. Chop the garlic and slice the pepperoncinis.
- Heat the oil: Place the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides. Cook for 6-7 minutes per side until golden, then remove and keep warm.
- Sauté the garlic: In the same skillet, sauté the minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add liquids: Pour in the chicken broth and cream, scraping the bottom to release all the flavors.
- Add pepperoncinis: Stir in the sliced pepperoncinis and simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return the chicken: Place the chicken back in the skillet, spooning sauce over to coat, and cook for another 2-3 minutes on low heat.
- Serve hot: Serve immediately with extra sauce on top if desired.
Notes
For variations, substitute chicken broth with vegetable broth for a vegetarian option.
