Description

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Peel the garlic cloves and crush them into a paste.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the egg yolk with mustard (if using) until smooth.
  3. Add the crushed garlic to the mixture and stir well.
  4. Gradually incorporate the oil in a thin stream while vigorously whisking to properly emulsify the sauce.
  5. Once thickened, add the lemon juice and mix well. Adjust with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Refrigerate the sauce for at least one hour before serving to let the flavors meld.
